Since 1918, WERNACRES FARMS has been a family owned and operated farm, focused on quality not quantity. All of our hard work and attention is directed toward a small number of elite females. Using strong cow families with proven out cross bulls improves our breeding program. We are fortunate to have bred five Shorthorn Pace setter dams, and our cow herd is made up of these main families; Duchess, Rosebud, Lady, Beauty, and Zelda. 

Over the years we have sold many champions and/or top sellers at Beef Expo's such as Illinois Beef Expo, World Beef Expo, and Ohio Beef Expo. In the last 20 years alone, we have exhibited 14 State Fair Champions in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Oklahoma, and Michigan.
